Eric has spent the last 17 years creating, implementing, and executing processes in successful, high growth sales and marketing organizations. He was an early employee at GoldMine Software (now FrontRange Solutions) before helping Neverfail Inc. grow from 0 to $20m in revenue in it's first 3 years. In 2010, Eric joined the executive team at ReachForce where he lead sales to 100% growth year over year and a funding round while transitioning from a services company to a software company before returning to Neverfail in 2012 as Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing. The common theme along the way was the ability to quickly identify how and why a company wins to create predictable growth while maximizing customer value. Eric is the Founder of SOAR Now, a sales optimization company, and the Co-Founder of levelLAUNCH Inc., an APTUS partner that assesses, trains, and transitions collegiate student-athletes into corporate jobs upon graduation. As a collegiate student-athlete, Eric earned a a degree in Business Administration from Colorado State University.

Mark Mangum is a Co-Founder and the Chief Executive Officer of APTUS Universal, LLC and is responsible for vision and execution. An entrepreneur and experienced business visionary, Mark has co-founded and operated several companies in addition to APTUS Universal, LLC. Mark received a B.B.A. in Finance: Investments and Banking from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where he also played football.

Craig Speece is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and internal controls. Craig has over 15 years of experience in business finance and accounting.

Prior to joining APTUS, Craig served as the Chief Financial Officer of Alpha Energy Capital, LLC where he oversaw the accounting and finance department in addition to working with the fund administrators, outside auditors, and legal team.

Before joining Alpha Energy Capital, Craig served as a Tax Manager at Deloitte & Touché, LLP with primary focus in taxation and corporate accounting.

Craig holds an B.A. in Financial Accounting from Manchester University as well as a Master's of Professional Accountancy from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Chartered Global Management Accountant designation. Craig is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of CPAs.

Nancy Olsen is COO of APTUS Universal with responsibility for internal operations. Working in partnership with the executive team, Nancy manages the strategic five-year plan and implements new processes and approaches to achieve operational excellence. Previously, she was a member of the Executive Committee at Griffon Energy Capital, LLC. With over 20 years of experience in the investment industry primarily in the fixed income area, she began trading short term cash and has traded corporate bonds, junk bonds, mortgage backed securities as well as doing asset allocation for a 6 billion dollar portfolio. She has a degree in Marketing and Management from Berkeley in White Plains, NY.

Erich C. Dierdorff is an associate professor of management in the Driehaus College of Business at DePaul University in Chicago. Erich’s published research has appeared in leading management journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, and The Leadership Quarterly, among others. He serves on the editorial boards of Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Academy of Management Learning & Education, Human Performance, and Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies. He has also contributed to numerous industry and press outlets, such as Business Week, the Financial Times, the Chronicle of Higher Education, and the Washington Post.

Erich’s research interests include improving the effectiveness of individual and team-level learning, examining the predictors and consequences of organizational citizenship, and studying contextual factors that affect work analysis, work design, and performance effectiveness. Erich has also received several awards for teaching excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Outside the university, Erich has worked with dozens of organizations in areas of human capital consulting. This work has spanned both the private and public sectors for organizations such as Nortel Networks, Siemens Systems, Law School Admission Council, Graduate Management Admission Council, U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Special Operations Command, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and the American Council for the Teaching of Foreign Languages. This work has focused on a variety of problems, including training design and evaluation, strategic workforce development, selection system design, and leadership development.

Hari Patel is the founder and managing director of Fifteen Twenty Holdings, LLC, a Texas-based software and technology consulting firm. He is responsible for developing and managing APTUS' technology platform, as well as coordinating third-party vendors and software providers. With 15 years of experience in programming and infrastructure development, Hari has provided guidance on technology best practices and product life-cycle planning to companies across various industries, including energy, finance and trading, marketing, and international sourcing and procurement. He holds degrees from Rice University in Philosophy and Political Science.

Lew Williams is a Co-Founder and the President of APTUS Universal, LLC, and is responsible for strategic business development. From 2004 to 2011, Lew was Founder and Chief Investment Officer at Alpha Energy Capital, LLC and managing member of the fund Alpha Master, LLC. While responsible for over $750 million in assets, he managed the fund's strategic positioning and implementation of investment strategy via commodities and derivatives in the energy space. Lew earned a B.A. and M.B.A. in Finance from Texas Christian University. He was a TCU scholarship athlete, earned All Southwest Conference honors and played professionally for the Atlanta Braves.

Dick Daniels is a Co-Founder and Consultant to APTUS Universal, LLC. Dick played for the Dallas Cowboys in 1966 and later became a member of the Chicago Bears before moving on to the Miami Dolphins in 1971. After suffering a career-ending injury he accepted a position with head coach Don Shula – a position he held for two seasons before settling down in Player Personnel and Administration with his mentor Bobby Beathard. Dick spent 27 years working with teams including the Redskins and Chargers. He has also worked in various other capacities in football such as National Scout of Tampa Bay, National Scout for the San Francisco 49ers, Director Football Operations of the Philadelphia Eagles, Executive VP of the United States Football League Los Angeles Express and College Scouting Consultant for the St. Louis Rams. Dick holds a B.A. from Pacific University.

Operations and Marketing Specialist

Katie is an Operations and Marketing Specialist that has been with the APTUS team since mid-2012. Involved with day to day office operations, Katie works closely with the executive team. Additional responsibilities include assessment execution and product delivery, marketing campaign roll-out, collaborating to create internal and external content, and planning travel and events. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education (Emphasis in English) from Ohio University in 2010.

Les Miller, an Oklahoma native, attended Oklahoma State as a freshman football player before spending one season in the New York Yankees minor league system. He continued his education and athletic career at Pittsburg State University ( Kansas ) as a quarterback and later a graduate assistant coach. Following graduation in 1958 he spent seven years as a high school coach in Oklahoma and Missouri. He then was an assistant football coach at B.Y.U for 4 years as the QB and RB coach. He began his 30 year NFL career as a scout with the undefeated World Champion Miami Dolphins in 1972. He was Director of Player Personnel for the Kansas City Chiefs from 1975 through 1987. That was followed by administrative positions in player personnel with the San Diego Chargers, the NFL's World League, the St. Louis Rams, and the Cleveland Browns. Following retirement in 2002 he was the advance scout for 6 years for the Rams and became a member of the staff for the NFL's Combine, which he continues to do.
